Trip to Cali...

DAY 1 (Monday, October 17)
This weekend was fall break at SUU so as a spur of a moment thing my brother James and I went to California. After speeding down through Vegas, out passed Primm, NV and getting to Baker, CA we hit our first road block, 30 straight miles of construction!!
We survived the construction kept driving and finally reached our destination after 6 hours and 45 minutes of travel. After dropping our bags off at the hotel it was back on the road heading from Anaheim to L.A. Our first stop once we got to L.A. was The Grauman's Chinese Theater and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum
Bryce, Captain Jack Sparrow, and James

Hiding behind Mr. Stark (Robert Downey Jr.)
After a couple of hours walking around the theater and the museum we decided to hit up Beverly Hills. Rodeo Drive was pretty sweet and would've been even cooler if we would've had time to walk the street and buy something we couldn't afford but at 6:00 p.m. EVERY STORE was CLOSED!! Kind of bummer but it was cool to see the famous street.

After cruising down Rodeo Dr. we headed back to Anaheim to get a good nights rest. We hadn't eaten since noon so when we got back to the hotel we had some pizza delivered and ate while watching Iron Man on t.v.

DAY 2 (Tuesday, October 18)
After getting up at 8:00 we got ready and drove down to Angel Stadium where we were under the impression tours would be being given. However, to our dismay they weren't giving any tours of the stadium but because we were already there they let us into the stadium and we got to take a couple pics.
At Angel Stadium

Home Plate entrance to the Stadium
After the 15 minute stadium visit James and I realized we had a lot of time to kill before having to head home. We set off to find The Office set and studio and after an hour and a half of driving around we finally found it!! and I might add it was SO WORTH IT!!! James and I agreed it was the highlight of the trip, beings that they were filming in the studio. No we didn't get to see any of the actors/actresses but we saw the building they were in that they were filming.Yes, I know there are a lot of pictures...

Here is the building where it all happens

I was a little disappointed that the gate was closed

Where Michael Scott performs his fake suicide

This is where they were inside filming. Too bad we couldn't get in

Our final stop of the trip was...... Drum Roll Please.....
Yep... the HOLLYWOOD Sign. After driving around trying to find parking we found a spot and hiked to the top to the Hollywood sign. It was tough, but after 30 minutes in the dead heat of California we made it. Was it worth it you ask? I'll just say that I won't do it again. There were some sweet pictures of the city from up there!!

The back of the Hollywood Sign
After the long walk back down the hill we realized we should take a picture that with the sign. So alas here it is.
We got in the car and headed home after that, James slept, I drove, and we finally made it home.
